When the images in an Outlook opened email do download, the downloads are via links embedded in the email that lead to the ISP rather than the email server. When the email is closed, all downloaded images are discarded and not saved with the email.

Each time an Outlook email is opened, it has to once again download the embedded images because they are never saved. To print an email: When first opened, the initial view contains none of the imbedded images that are lined to it see Downloaded Email Step Next, the email downloads the imbedded images through the ISP, not the email server see Downloaded Email Step Clicking on File and then clicking on Print brings up the initial print window see Downloaded Email Step-3a.
