Like I said, I have been using Word professionally since its inception, and have been very happy with each successive incarnation Basically, what has been done with this new Office Professional is they’ve turned the professional standard for writers everywhere my profession, which I’ve been doing full time for the last 20 years into a marketing technique to collect email addresses, push products and Cloud services, and force people to play by Microsoft’s rules And I can use this on only 1 computer?

Are you serious? And not only are they doing to Microsoft Word what they did to Windows with Windows 8, but they’re making it impossible to buy legitimate previous versions that worked.

Normally, I would just read the copious negative reviews and not purchase an item, simple as that. Here, however, I wasn’t given that leisure because my last work computer just died. So yes, Microsoft, if you are reading this, I am a loyal fan that you are very close to losing, and losing big. Word was my go-to program my entire professional life, and now that I can’t seem to purchase a working version of it anymore, I’m having to start looking at alternatives.

It really burns me to be used like that, not only the loss of money, but the apparent disregard that Microsoft seems to have for my consistent patronage throughout my professional career.

Bottom line: I want something that works. Tips I have to Microsoft to regain my trust as a consumer: 1 Don’t force me to sign up for cloud service, or force me to give you my email address and ‘make an account’ in order to download and use your product. I know damn well you’re using me in a bid to take on Apple and Google.

As if the ‘apps’ references weren’t a teensy, tiny, subtle hint, the ‘cloud’ and the happy-go-lucky way you forced me to use the ‘storefront’ when I didn’t want to was totally useless See Item 1.

This just sucks. It really and truly sucks. As a professional, I need something that works, and works well, and consistently. This version does NOT live up to its predecessors, and honestly, I don’t care how you fix it, I just want the functionality I had in the past.

Specifically, I want Office That, in my opinion, is the pinnacle of your creative genius, and I desperately want it back.

I am not some stick-in-the-mud year-old dinosaur I am a year-old writing professional, and I’ve been using Microsoft products since I was in grade school. Believe me when I say you have dropped the ball, here, and you need to do some damage control. Taking away my ability to use my software on more than one computer in my own home, while charging the same price if not more is, again, infuriating and insulting my intelligence.

You seem very proud of the fact that you offered people the ability to install the program on a new computer every 90 days if the old computer dies. Perhaps this is a news flash, but that gesture did little to correct the problem. Again, I’m not stupid. I know that, by limiting the legal usability of the licensed version of Office, you are trying to push people to buy Office and its ‘generous’ 5 computer subscription services, which, by the way, I have tried.

I cancelled my subscription the DAY it expired one year later because it was totally useless to me, and even more buggy than this. Anyway, that’s what needs to happen to renew my faith as a fan and consumer. I honestly, truly and genuinely, just want and need a product that works efficiently, effectively, localized and completely self-contained on my machine, with a complete lack of bugs or bullcr p.

If Microsoft does NOT correct the above issues, with a quickness, my prediction as a professional writer is that Word will no longer be the go-to software of choice for people in my profession in approximately two years, since it seems like that’s how long it takes most computers to fail.

My further prediction is that this abomination of a writing program will allow a competitor to gain a foothold in what has been, up until now, totally dominated by Word. As it is, I’m going to start looking into alternatives immediately. I can’t go with software that doesn’t perform to standard. A lot of improvements over Office , and you can a actually split Excel into two different screens! Just a shame that Microsoft fragments their products into a confusing bunch of different versions Professional, Pro Plus!

Although I’m not disputing that, I’ve found that you can get used to the changes pretty fast and enjoy the improved functionalities of Office What has not been mentioned here, is the fact that ‘PowerPivot’ is no longer free in Excel as opposed to Excel So in my case, my upgraded Excel files no longer supported the ‘PowerPivot’ files and even though I purchased Office Professional , I’m no longer entitled to PowerPivot.

I’ve bought this version of Microsoft Office for university as I need all of the applications it has. It had a unique way of installing the applications. Instead of the traditional download the whole application then install it, this one streamed the application to me. Which is amazing since I don’t have a very fast internet speed but I was able to use Excel within minutes despite the total size of the application. The functionality of this version of Office is great but the only downside is, Excel lacked a lot of themes that were on Microsoft Office which made me Google them and download them just to use them instead of Microsoft bundling every theme that was in to this version.

I have limited Internet, and was unable to download this program. Twice I called Microsoft before it was determined that I needed discs to install the program, which were sent.

I then had trouble installing the discs and Microsoft was unable to help as I had limited Internet and they were unable to get into my computer from their end to get it to load. Eventually I did get the program loaded, but I had owned the program for over two weeks by then. Quite frankly, I didn’t want to upgrade to , but the price of was far too high these days. I don’t like the ‘updates’ made to the user interface for and the severely limited color scheme options.

I miss Office I downloaded the software. Took forever. Prior to this upgrade, I was using Office and Lync Since the install, Lync is broken and no amount of reinstalls will get it working. Then, if you want an exersize in futility, try working with Microsoft non Support. My Scottish Terrier can do better.

In the software manufacture’s never ending quest to keep selling you the same thing over and over, we have Office Super expensive, it does pretty much the same things it did last year, but for more money and now forcing you to re-learn the interface all over again.

I’m going to try Open Office next time, because this is getting to expensive. How many times can you re-invent a wheel? One person found this helpful. Would not load, had to call Microsoft to find out why, Microsoft told me it was an improper program and could not authenticate it, had to purchase another program at another cost, Would not buy any software this way ever again.

A little late to review this but a great read for Mac users who still work with older OS and they are out there. This book covers all the OS features. Very well written and with lots of useful information for those of us that still run Tiger.

So I like how the lessons had flying tasks gradually. This appears to be a Beta testing version instead of a production. The game plays until a certain point about 10 minutes into a flight and then it shuts down with a note that the product has not been registered with Microsoft.

Awesome game! I’m a huge aviation enthusiast so this review might be a little bit biased. But this game really does have great graphics and most of the terrain is quite similar to where it is in real life. This is by far the best flight simulator game and I highly recommend it to any aviation enthusiast. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries.
